1. Apologies  Peter Illes, Ron Kidson, Roger Rudman, Mike Pitchford, Dave Slatcher and David Beechey

2. Minutes of Meeting of 1st August 2022 were approved.

3. Treasurer’s Report. MP not present but advised in advance that the Balance at 27/08 was £.1567.44.

4. To consider progress in regard to following main issues

a. SC Planning Application Consultee status for all four parishes. RS reported that Susie Jones, SC officer for IT in the Planning Dept, had been very helpful and the Chairman was now automatically receiving notifications for all Applications in the parishes of Albrighton and Donington. The emails are more than just Notifications as they also helpfully include the link to the Application and its documents etc. ACTION: PW will now also register on line for Applications in Boningale and Tong.

b. ADCS Annual Calendar Project.. PW will now contact all the shops before going on holiday (to ensure they have stock.

Notelets – or possibly to be called “Blank Cards – for you to add your own message”.

DS had obtained costs from the printers which seemed to make the project viable. However it was decided to delay a decision whether to proceed or not until we see how the sale of calendars develops.

c. Repairs to Cross Road RS reported that writing for information as Chairman of the Cross Road Traffic Group to Steve Smith, Assistant Director of Infrastructure had not produced a reply he had then written to the SC Chief Executive, Andy Begley, and the SC Leader, Lezley Picton, with the email to Steve Smith and also complained that he was now albeing ignored. This resulted in Interim Capital Delivery Manager, Mohammed Sarfraz, calling RS and several telephone discussions took place and SC drawings of the work were provided. At the same time our SC Cllr Nigel Lumby had contacted SC for information about the work and had discussed the matter with RS. These two actions resulted in both the central part and the west part being repaired. (the east part did not need repair). SC had not expected to repair the west, and most damaged, part until some future date.

f. Public Meeting and AGM 10th October.

Further discussion of possible topics and speakers. ACTION: PW and RS will follow up.

It was agreed that we need to attract younger members to the committee. RS had heard that many residents in Millfields had expressed satisfaction in moving to Albrighton and had found the village very welcoming and had found our Welcome Pack helpful. ACTION: RS will draft a Notice for us to deliver to the approx 60 houses in Millfields to urge them to attend the Public Meeting. After that we will deliver another notice to seek members to the committee.

It was agreed that we will not provide the bar this year and will start the meeting at 7.30pm. ACTION: RS will blank out the “7pm Bar” on the banner and will also change the date.
